USCIS has once again updated its announcement regarding the number of H-1B petitions received and counted towards the H-1B cap. As of May 4, USCIS has received approximately 45,000 H-1B petitions counting toward the Congressionally-mandated 65,000 cap. As such, USCIS continues to accept petitions subject to the general cap. Additionally, that USCIS has received approximately 20,000 petitions for aliens with advanced degrees remains unchanged. As such, the Service continues to accept advanced degree petitions as experience dictates that not all such petitions are approvable. 1. I came to USA last year on H4
2. Filed H4-H1 in May 2005 through Company A
3. In Dec 2005 my company ( A) got merged with another company ( B)
4. My H1 got approved in Jan-06
5. Presently I am working and getting pay stubs for the new company -- B
What are the docs needed for transfer of my H1 to company C.

Please help me. I am in a really odd situation.
My I797 expires on Feb 10th (in 2 days!). My company did not know of the iCert change. iCert denied the first 2 LCA attempts for FEIN and prevailing wage issues. The new LCA (3rd attempt) won't have a result until the 15th.
My i-94 and visa has expiration of in Oct 2011 (stamping officer's mistake). But I know, we can't rely on their mistakes.
What can I do? Please advice..

Please help reactivate this group. We have 27 members on our group but it's hard to get 1 reply. We have successfully met two lawmakers recently and more such contacts are urgently needed. A mail was sent out to the group today. If you do not get it, check your junk/spam folders and make sure the group id is added to your safe list. Folks, this time we do not want to come up short. I am applying my Labor on EB2 tomorrow (07/26/2007). Is there any glim chacne for me to get the approval before 08/14/2007? I am going through Atlanta. Please let me know how long is the average time to get the cetification from atlanta center. (One of my friend applied on 07/17/07 and got the LC on 07/23/07 from atlanta center).

Hi,
I am working for a company who filed for my GC.
I-140 approved 18 months back
I-485 "applied and pending" 12 months back
EAD in hand from about 10 months.
If I move to a company with the exact same job description,
a) Whom do I need to inform, with regards to , AC21 portability clause
b) Who will check if the job is in the exact (same/similar) field
c)Possibility that there will be RFE after I-485?
d)What if the GC sponsoring company is not helpful after I move to a different company. How is this going to affect?
I need to weigh in the costs associated with countering a RFE and the increased salary due to job change.
Let me know your opinion.

Yes. The old labor is valid for 180 days after July 16th.

I am July 2nd filer and got EAD approved.
My 485 notice has Received Date as July 19th 2007 and Notice Date as October 17th 2007.
Do i need to calculate 180 days from July 19th 2007 OR Oct 17th 2007 if i want to change the jobs?
