Am currently in my 7th year H1 and have got admission into a parttime MBA program!
1.) I just wanted to clarify if i can accept scholarship in form of tution waivers? (not a income?)
2.) I am aware i cannot accept any scholarships which may require me working as a TA or RA? as this is a income...
but is a non-income school sponsored tution waiver an accepectable option>
Any gurus on this board like to throw some light on this!!!

Greetings,
I applied for a green card via a relative application on April 28th of 2001. I am under the 245I law. It has been 10 years since the application and it has been approved. A lawyer told me I have one more year to wait since they are still working on the visas from April of 2001. My question is: What month are they on currently and is there any way I can speed up this process? Is there a website where I can keep track of where the visas are?
Thanks in advance,
Mario

Readers have been sending me the best links. Here's one from the latest issue of Newsweek: As the white house revives immigration reforman issue the president is discussing with congressional leadersit may want to ponder the effects of curbing foreign labor. While immigrants are blamed for dragging down American wages and stealing jobs, University of California, Davis, economist Giovanni Peri comes to a different conclusion. In a National Bureau of Economic Research working paper, Peri trowels through nearly five decades of immigration data and finds that foreign workers have boosted the economy, jacking up average income without crowding out American...

I know that most of the people on this forum are EB filers. However, for the few stragglers here who are filing in the family based category, please share your experience on filing the I-751 (petition to remove the condition on the GC). Specifically, I'd like to know the following:
- Estimated time from filing date to receipt of permanent GC
- Did you have interview with USCIS?
- Compare / contrast with first interview during the AOS process.
Thanks

In this case, USCIS assigned a number to a previously approved case in June.

Skin test and X-ray have nothing to do with a USCIS Physician's reputation buth rather on the outcome of the physical exam. However what is important is the amount the Physician is charging for the medical examination. I have an appointment with Dr Alfred in St Louis next week at Forest Park Medical clinic. Appointments are very hard to get by in St Louis.

It may be time for a day of research. I'll be doing something similar in the near future, and my plan is to sit down with a cup of coffee, the yellow pages, and my phone and call the photographers in my area and ask them each that same question. I'll make a chart and put names to prices.
Where you have an advantage over me is that your town's population is about 32,000 whereas I'll have to do this over the entire metro area where I live. Ughh!
