I'm going to India and is planning to get my h1 visa stamped...
How are stamping scenarios these days at Chennai?..esp"lly due to PIMS stuff...
I have followed lot of discussions around H1 stamping and people got struck for weeks/months in India due to PIMS and other issues..
Is it advisable to go for H1 stamping as i'm into 7 th year of extension and I can't afford getting stuck in India for more than the granted period of vacation...I have approved AP documents handy and can use them while coming back to US...
Can someone pls advise me on this?

Dear all,
My husband and I had applied last july for I-485. I am expected to renew my Advance parole document this month i.e August. I have not sent any documents to USCIS as of now. Today I checked the status of my LUDs and I see that there is a change in LUD status of Advance Parole, it now shows 27th july 2008.
Could anyone tell me why this change when no documents have been even sent? No other of my cases are showing change such as I-485, EAD.

I helping my employer filling the I-129 B-1B Data collection supplement form. In Part C Question 8 Item 4:
Is this the second or subsequent request for an extension of stay that you have filed for this alien?
This application is an extension (for 3 years) for my H1-B. My position in the company is the same as that when applied for my previous (first) H1-B petition.
I have NOT applied for green card/labor certification.
Is the answer Yes or No for this question?

hi,
Currently I'm working for a major software firm (10,000+ employees) as a senior software engineer. My 6-yr H1-B expires by January 2010.
I filed for PERM with PD of October 2007 in Atlanta center under EB2 category for Sr.Software engineer position. As we know it is still in PENDING status after a AUDIT request.
Now, I have received an offer for a Sr.Technical Program manager internally in my company.
What are my options now?
1. Can I withdraw my current PERM (while it is PENDING after AUDIT) and apply for a new PERM under new position? OR
2. Can I use the same PERM since I'm staying with the same company?
3. Does the company size help in any way?

Hi,I have filed H1B during August 09 ..my priority dates became current in Sep 09 and I have filed for AOS -485 /EAD ..Should I cancel my H1B or will it automatically get canceled once I receive my EAD ?Please suggest.

Perhaps there is a chance we'll see some action on the DREAM Act in 2011 albeit with some major tough to accept changes. The key areas likely to change are the education requirement (mandating actually receiving a degree versus simply attending school), the ability to sponsor relatives down the road when DREAM Act finally become citizens (at least 13 years out) and criminal bars on applying.
