I have a approved I-140 with company A. It is a substitute labor.
I am getting laid off end of the month and I have a new offer from company B.
Can I port priority date of this I-140 to new company B? Does porting work for substitute labor also?

I have no LUD at all for my 1-140 which was approved 6 months back. The status message still stays "...processing..." !!
So do not bother much about the online statuses and LUDs.

Please let me know if you have any information on this. I am in the same boat. Do we have to file different PERM if moved to different location with in same metro area(city/county).

Can people convert LC pending in BEC to PERM? If So, how safe it is and how much time it takes totally.
Yes, and its well known. Talk to or just visit Murthy or Immigrationportal and you will find lot of discussion on this topic. In a nutshell, as long the PERM application is identical to BEC pending application you can convert to PERM. Make sure to find an attorney familiar in such type of cases.

Hello everyone,
I had filed for my I485 on 19th July at Nebraska. My 90 days are getting over on 19th Oct. Still I have not received any receipts for I-485,EAD,I-131.
My lawyer is going to call USCIS to inquire about my case.
Does any one had experience calling USCIS after 90 days were over and the USCIS tracked your application and you got your receipts.
Would be great if any one can share there experiences.

Hi,
I am curently on h1b visa on 7th year.My i-140 got approved 3years back and filed i-485 in 2007 and waiting for gc.Now if i switch my job to different employer using my EAD,Can my previous employer revoke my i-140 affecting my gc processing.Does he still have control to withdraw.Can you please help on this.Thanks.

Is it possible to extend H4 status after using EAD for a person whose I-485 pending in derivative status.
I read Cronin Memo reg. dual intent "Revision of March 14, 2000 Dual Intent Memorandum"
It seems to discuss reg. using AP to enter the country and maintaining H status.
Not sure if anyone here has done the extension of H4 after using EAD.

I think most Immigration Judges try to do their job in a fair way. But there are a few that really cross the line way too often. The press has covered this and I've tried to bring some of these problems to light in this forum. Now EOIR wants people who have been victimized by poor conduct from an Immigration Judge to complain and they've established a complaint portal on their web site.

depends on state law, WA state does not consider H4 as a resident, just found out a month ago, when my wife finished all the tests and everything else and found she had to pay non resident tuition. So she decided not to go to school. CA considers H4 as a resident provided all other criteria are met.

Since you're already using EAD, you are no less safer to take up a new job. The most important thing is to be able to keep renewing your EAD til your GC arrives.
